HOMEGALLERYARTIST'S STATEMENTRESUMECONTACTBACK

I am thrilled to have my sculpture, CONJURING HOME/
[Transported by What She Had Brought/by What She Had Left Behind]

juried by Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons, an artist of powerful, evocative work,
into the show UP/ROOTED. This is a sculpture from the REFUGEE WOMEN SERIES
that has been a major focus of my work:

"These are the women....who suffer the wounds,
who walk and walk from the desolation of homes, seeking shelter
to save their children, their families, the future, who walk on forward.
And on and on the procession goes through the years and generations...
These sculptures speak for them as well as for all the women and families
who walk with them throughout the world." RR

This show is all too timely and evocative. Hope you can join us at the reception. All best, Ruth
